Pioneers 2... Carroll College JV 3 (25-21, 17-25, 23-25, 25-15, 9-15)

Following a big conference win over Lake Region State College on Wednesday night, the MCC Pioneers dropped a tough 5-set decision to the Carroll College JV on Saturday afternoon in Miles City, MT. The Pioneers kicked off their regular season with a double header against Carroll JV in Helena and the teams split 3-1 matches back in August. The Saints victory over MCC gave them the season series for 2025. 

The Pioneers were led offensively by the Hardin duo of Taiya Guptill and Johanna Limberhand. The Freshman pair saw Guptill rack up 44 assists and Limberhand have 12 kills. Mackenzie Deford (Freshman - Shields Valley, MT) accounted for 3 aces. 

Cameron Blevins (Sophmore - Shelby, MT) had 20 digs and Angeline Riener (Freshman - Fort Benton, MT) had 4 blocks. 

The Pioneers fell to 12-10 overall and get back in to MonDak Conference action this week as they travel to Bottineau, ND on Tuesday and have a pivotal home match on Wednesday against Williston State. The game in Bottineau begins at 6:00 PM MDT and Wednesday will start at 7:00 PM MDT.
