MonDak Conference Leader NDSCS Sweeps Pioneers

Pioneers 0... NDSCS Wildcats 3 (16-25, 16-25, 21-25)

MonDak Conference leader North Dakota State College of Science rolled in to the MCC Centra on Tuesday evening with a 5-0 conference record. The Wildcats walked out of the Centra with a 6-0 record thanks to a powerful frontline that dominated the MCC Pioneers 3-0.

The Wildcats got out to a fast start and really never looked back as they built a 2-10 lead in game one to cruise easily to a 16-25 win. NDSCS jumped up on the Pioneers 4-8 in game 2 before building a 9-20 lead and cruising the rest of the way in another 16-25 victory. 

The Pioneers were a bit more competitive in game 3 and trailed just 18-21 before NDSCS put their footprint on the match with a 21-25 victory. 

Taiya Guptill (Freshman - Hardin, MT) had 25 assists and a team high 6 digs. Kayla Jensen (Freshman - Lewistown, MT) came up with 9 kills and Cameron Blevins (Sophomore - Shelby, MT) had 2 aces. 

The Pioneers fell to 11-9 overall and 3-3 in MonDak Conferece play. MCC will host Lake Region State College on Wednesday night at 7:00 PM MDT.
