Pioneer Volleyball Set to Kick Off 2025 Season

The 2025 Miles Community College Pioneer volleyball season will get underway on Saturday as the Pioneers head to Helena, MT for a doubleheader vs. Carroll College JV with matches starting at 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM.

Head Coach Robin Cusimano will begin her 4th season at the helm of the Pioneer program.

Zeason Schaffer (Broadus, MT) heads a list of returners as a All MonDak Conference performer from the outside hitter position leading the Pioneers with 453 kills. Fellow Broadus, MT graduate Mia Mader led the Pioneers last season with 48 service aces. Cameron Blevins (Shelby, MT) will take over Libero duties from All-Conference performer Bree Swanson. Grace Gackle (Circle, MT) and Lily Heiberg round out the list of returners for the Pioneers.

Newcomers to the Pioneer program include MSU-Billings transfer Molly Sullivan (Joliet, MT) and Northwest College transfer Holland Stowe (Buffalo, WY).

Freshman Taiya Guptill and Johanna Limberhand from Hardin, MT have this unbelievable chemistry and connection from being high school teammates but also because they were Class A tennis doubles state champions.  Angeline Riener (Fort Benton, MT) brings a big arm and big block to the lineup.

Mackenzie Deford (Clyde Park, MT), Savanah Newsom (Great Falls, MT), Kayla Jensen (Lewistown, MT) and Ava Hanson (Malta, MT) round out the freshman class for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers suffered some early season injuries as Sullivan, Gackle, and Hanson have been sidelined with knee injuries and Stowe is currently sidelined with abdominal injury. Coach Cusimano is hoping to get to full strength by the time MonDak Conference schedule begins.
