The MCC Pioneers dominated Williston State on Wednesday night to sweep the MonDak Conference road trip and move to 3rd place in the conference standings. The Pioneers took control early and won 25-16, 25-20, 25-20. 

The Pioneers led from start to finish and moved to 6-4 in MonDak Conference play and 13-11 overall. Offensively, a balanced attack was the key to victory as Angela Youngs (Gillette, WY) and Olivia Cook (Belgrade, MT) each had 8 kills while Cassidy Acor (Havre, MT) and Olivia Easton (Billings, MT) pounded out 7 kills each. Youngs added 2 aces while Jacey Rowland (Weyburn, Saskatchewan) had 18 assists and Mandi Tvedt (Glenrock, WY) added 16. Sam Oliver (Havre, MT) had 21 digs and Youngs added 16. Sydney Johnstone led the way on defense at the net with 2 blocks. 

The Pioneers will close out MonDak Conference play next week with home matches against Dakota College-Bottineau and Dawson on Tuesday and Wednesday night. We hope to see you there for Sophomore night on Wednesday.
