Region XIII announced their All-Region performers for volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball for the 2021 season and the MCC Pioneers were well represented.
Volleyball players Matilda Dietz and Angela Youngs were both named All-Region XIII. Dietz, a 5'3 sophomore from Manhattan, Montana led the MonDak Conference in digs with 482 and was a 2 year starter for the Pioneers. Dietz will play volleyball next year at Valley City State College in North Dakota. Youngs, a 5'10 freshman outside hitter from Gillette, Wyoming was 4th in the conference in kills with 257 and was also 9th in the conference in digs with 286.
Men's Basketball Player Favour Chukwukelu was selected All-Region XIII. Chukwukelu, a 6'2 guard from Las Vegas, Nevada missed the first 6 games of the season for the Pioneers. Upon his return he averaged 17.8 ppg which was 4th in the conference. He was 2nd in the league in 3-point percentage (46.7%), 1st in free throw percentage (92%), and 6th in 3-point field goals made (49).
Women's Basketball Players Rebekah Dallinger and Lili Long were named All-Region XIII. Dallinger, a 5'10 guard from Sydney, Australia leads the NJCAA in points per game (25.3), total points (583), field goals made (193-386), free throws made (145-203), and was 8th in assists (118). She connected on 50% of her field goal attempts and was 52-118 (44%) from the 3-point line. Long, a 6'0 forward from Melbourne, Australia was 7th in the league in scoring (15.3 ppg) and also 7th in the league in rebounding (7.3). Long shot 44% (9th in league) from the field and 43-122 (35%) from the 3-point line. She also hit 94-126 (75%) and will continue her college career at NCAA D2 Angelo State in Texas.
Women's Basketball coach Taylor Harris was selected Region XIII Women's Coach of the Year.
