The Miles Community College Volleyball season came to an end Monday night at the hands of the Bismarck State Mystics. The 14th ranked Mystics got off to a great start in set 1 taking care of things with a 25-12 win. The Pioneers fought hard in set 2 leading 10-5 at one point but couldn't hang on as the Mystics rallied to win late 25-22. Bismarck State won set 3 25-18 to advance to the Region XIII championship game at the 14th ranked NDSCS Wildcats on Wednesday night.
The Pioneers finished the season with a 11-14 record overall and will say farewell to sophomores Matilda Dietz, Olivia Easton, Abigail Dudley, Kadyn Acor, and Celsa Castro.
The Pioneers were led in the match by Matilda Dietz with 14 digs and 1.5 blocks from Nadja Gale. Jacey Rowland set 24 assists and Angela Youngs had 8 kills.
