The Pioneer volleyball team took a game to gather their footing after the long bus trip to Devil's Lake but rattled off 3 in a row to defeat the Royals 3-1. The Pioneers currently have a stranglehold on 3rd place in the MonDak Conference after that victory as they moved to 5-3 in league play and 5-6 overall. The Pioneers dropped the first game 22-25 but stormed back to a 25-15 win in game 2. Game 3 again went to the Pioneers 25-21. The Royals had game point 2 different times in game 4 but couldn't force a 5th game and MCC eeked out a 27-25 victory. 

Cassidy Acor (Havre, MT) had a strong day at the net with 11 kills and fellow freshman Syndey Johnstone (Miles City, MT) led the team with 5 blocks and 2 aces. Celsa Castro (Roundup) was the lead set up person with 15 assists and Matilda Dietz (Manhattan, MT) had 19 digs on the afternoon. 

Next up for the Pioneers is a home double header on Tuesday against Dickinson State JV. Match 1 will begin at 3:00 PM and Match 2 will get going around 6:00 PM.
