The NDSCS Wildcats opened up MonDak Conference play with a resounding 88-40 win over the Miles Community College Pioneers on Sunday afternoon in Miles City, MT.

6 Wildcats scored in double figures as the Wildcats went on a 16-0 run over the final 6 minutes of the 1st quarter after the Pioneers took their only lead of the game at 9-8. 

McKena Koolmo (Wahpeton, ND) and Ava Boyes (Canberra, Australia) each scored 14 points and combined for 11 rebounds to lead the way for the Wildcats. Lolo Carlow (Rapid City, SD) scored 11 points and grabbed a team high 8 rebounds. 

The Pioneers were led in scoring by Kora LaBrie (5'2 Sophomore - Whitewater, MT) with 8 points (4-11 FG, 0-4 3's). Jessica Makayabo (Eastlake, TX) had a team high 8 rebounds.

  • The Wildcats shot 34-71 (48%) from the field and 9-23 (39%) from 3-point range. NDSCS shot 11-14 from the free throw line. 
  • The Pioneers shot 17-76 (22%) from the field and 3-29 (10%) from the 3-point line. MCC was 3-7 at the free throw line.
