The Dawson CC Women's basketball team stifled the MCC Pioneer offense holding the Pioneers to only 32 field goal attempts enroute to a 78-37 MonDak Conference victory on Sunday afternoon in Glendive. Miles scored the first basket of the game and Dawson never trailed after that enroute to the 41 point victory. The Pioneers scored only 12 points in the 2nd half on only 2 field goals.
Olivia Williams (Minneapolis, MN) led the scoring attack for the Buccaneers with 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3's) and added 6 rebounds as well. Evan Kingston (Ely, NV) added 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3's, 2-2 FT) and Samantha Jenkins (Wellington, New Zealand) came off the bench to score 11 points (4-14 FG, 2-8 3's, 1-2 FT). Hailee Brandon (Big Timber, MT) led the Bucs in rebounds with 8.
The Pioneers saw Citlalli Gurrola (San Diego, CA) come off the bench to score 10 points (3-9 FG, 3-7 3's, 1-2 FT) and Angelina Dimasi also scored 10 points (1-6 FG, 8-9 FT). Catalina de Giorgi had 6 rebounds to lead the Pioneers.
