The women's Mon-Dak Conference Basketball Player of the Week is Binta Salawu. Salawu is a 5'4" sophomore point guard from Miles Community College.  While MCC went 2-0 against Region 9 teams she scored 41 points, had 14 rebounds, 4 assists, and 9 steals.  Binta transferred to MCC from Iowa Western. She is averaging 20 points, 2.5 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game on the season for the 3-2 Pioneers. Binta is from Sydney, Australia and attended Westfields Sports Academy.
