Binta Salawu (Sydney, Australia) cashed in with 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals to lead the Lady Pioneers to a weekend sweep with a 69-57 home victory over Northwest College. Claire Borot (Martinique, France) chipped in 15 points and 3 assists while Freshman Olyvia Pacheco led MCC rebounding efforts with 8. MCC survived a 28% shooting night by knocking down 28-39 free throws. After trailing 38-36 at halftime, the Pioneers outscored Northwest 24-7 in the 3rd quarter and eventually built a 23 point 4th quarter lead. 

MCC improved to 3-2 on the season and returns home next Thursday night when they host Rocky Mountain College JV at 7:00 pm.
