Pioneer Bats Quiet as NDSCS Tops Pioneers Twice

Game 1 - Pioneers 2... NDSCS Wildcats 6

NDSCS jumped on the Pioneers early with 3 runs in the 1st inning and 2 more in the 2nd and shut the Pioneers out until the 6th inning in a 6-2 win on Saturday in Wahpeton, ND. 

MCC was only able to come up with 4 hits (Emily Robins 2) in the game and didn't score until the 6th inning when Emily Robins (CF - Rexburg, ID) led the inning off with a double and moved to 3rd on a single from Adrie Mortensen (C - Rexburg, ID). Robins scored on a NDSCS error. Sydney Goldbar (2B - Missoula, MT) doubled to lead off the inning and scored on a double from Robins with 2 outs. 

Rylynn Krein pitched game 1 for 6 innings (12 H, 6 R, 4 SO).

NDSCS scored 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning and that was all they would need as they held the Pioneers to just 4 hits for the 2nd straight game in a 7-1 win in game 2. 

MCC's only run of the game came on a Sydney Goldbar solo home run in the 2nd inning. 

Harley Brown (Great Falls, MT) pitched 6 innings (12 H, 7 R, 5 ER, 2 SO).
