Game 1 - Pioneers 17... Dakota College at Bottineau 2 (5 Innings)

The MCC Pioneers scored at least 3 runs in all 4 at bats and cruised to a 17-2 win over the DCB Lumberjacks to open MonDak Conference play. 

Rylynn Krein (P - Fergus Falls, MN) had a standout day in the circle and at the plate. Krein pitched 5 innings (3 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 12 SO) and went 3-3 (4 R, 5 RBI, BB) at the plate to lead the Pioneer barrage over the Lumberjacks. Malory Webb (SS - Idaho Falls, ID) was 4-4 (4 R, 4 SB) and Brylee Lowell (LF - Columbus, MT) was 2-3 (2 2B, 4 RBI, 3 R) as the top 3 in the Pioneer batting order had 9 hits and 9 RBI. Brooke Schaffer (3B - Missoula, MT) had 2 hits (2B) and Harley Brown (1B - Great Falls, MT) had 2 hits (2B, 2 R, 2 RBI). 

MCC scored 4 runs in the 1st inning, 3 in the 2nd, and 5 runs in each of the 3rd and 4th inning. Adrie Mortensen (C - Rexburg, ID) had a double and Paityn Ralphs (2B - Ammon, ID) had a triple and 3 RBI.

• The Pioneers had 16 hits (3B, 5 2B) and the Lumberjacks had 3 hits (HR). 
• Pioneer batters did not strike out and walked twice. DCB batters struck out 12 times and walked twice.

Game 2 - Pioneers 11... DCB Lumberjacks 3 (5 Innings)

MCC kept the offense rolling by pounding out 16 hits as every batter that stood in the box had at least 1 hit and the Pioneers scored in all but 1 inning to take a 11-3 victory in game 2 on Saturday. 

DCB got on the board with a run in the 1st inning and the Pioneers answered with a run in the bottom of the 1st on a solo home run from Rylynn Krein. The Lumberjacks took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 2nd inning and after a scoreless 2nd inning from MCC, the Pioneers picked up 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Krein and Brooke Schaffer hit back to back singles to start the inning and Krein scored on a bunt from Paityn Ralphs that resulted in a Lumberjack error. Emily Robins (CF - Rexburg, ID) connectedo n a 2 RBI double to give MCC a 4-2 lead. 

MCC got 4 more runs in the 4th inning starting off with a Brylee Lowell double and RBI single from Krein. With 2 outs, Ralphs drove in Lowell with a double and Rhanda Vindiola conneced on a RBI single. Vindiola was driven in on a single from Adrie Mortensen. 

DCB got a run in the 5th but MCC ended the game with 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th. 3 consecutive singles by Brooklyn Ostermiller (2B - Huntley, MT), Malory Webb, and Brylee Lowell loaded the bases. Ostermiller scored on a wild pitch and Webb scored on a DCB error. The game ending run came on a sacrifice fly RBI from Brooke Schaffer. 

Krein had 3 hits (HR) while Lowell, Schaffer, Mortensen, and Ostermiller had 2 hits. 

Harley Brown (Great Falls, MT) pitched 5 innings (4 H, 3 R, ER, 3 SO).
