Game 1 - Pioneers 3... Western Nebraska 11 (5 Innings)
The Western Nebraska Cougar bats were as hot as the 90 degree air in Scottsbluff, NE as the Cougars overpowered the MCC Pioneers in game 1 of 4-game series.
The Cougars piled on all of their runs in the 1st 3 5innings and didn't need to bat in the 5th inning, winning by the 8-run rule.
WNCC scored 2 runs in the topf of the 1st and took a 7-0 lead with 5 more runs in the 2nd. The Pioneers got a 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning with a RBI single from Emily Robins (CF - Rexburg, ID) and a steal of home from Brylee Lowell (LF - Columbus, MT) to cut in to the Cougar lead.
The Pioneer comeback didn't last long as WNCC scored 4 more runs in the bottom of the 3rd for a 11-2 lead. Sydney Goldbar (2B - Missoula, MT) hit a solo home run in the top of the 5th but MCC would not score again and the game ended in the 5th inning. Goldbar had 2 of the 5 Pioneer hits.
Rylynn Krein (Fergus Falls, MN) got the start and pitched 3 innings (8 H, 11 R, 3 ER, 4 BB) and was replaced by Kayla Jensen in the 4th inning (BB).

Game 2 went much of the same way as game 1 for the Pioneers. Western Nebraska established dominance early and carried that to a 9-1 win in game 2 to sweep the Saturday doubleheader.
WNCC busted out to a 8-0 lead by scoring 2 in the 1st and 2nd innings, then following that with 4 runs in the 3rd. The Pioneers only run of the game came in the top of the 5th on a single by Emily Robins and a RBI double from Paityn Ralphs (1B - Ammon, ID).
Harley Brown (Great Falls, MT) pitched a complete game 4.1 innings (15 H, 9 R, BB, SO) and took the loss.
