Game 1 - Pioneers 4... Cuyahoga CC 6
The MCC Pioneers could not come up with the big hits when they needed them most as Cuyahoga held on for a 6-4 win on Saturday morning in Cocoa Beach, FL.
The Pioneers walked 9 times but only came up with 5 hits (all singles) and could not push in enough runs to pick up the win. Brooke Schaffer (3B - Missoula, MT) was the only Pioneer with 2 hits in the game.
MCC scored 2 runs in the 1st inning on a Cuyahoga error and a bases loaded walk. Cuyahoga got a run in the bottom of the 2nd and MCC answered that with a run in the top of the 3rd on a sacrifice fly RBI from Paityn Ralphs (1B - Ammon, ID). Cuyahoga tied the game with 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd and then took a 4-3 lead with a run in the 4th. The Pioneers tied the game 4-4 with a bases loaded walk but left the bases full for the 2nd time in the game to end the inning. Cuyahoga plated the go ahead run in the 5th inning and held MCC scoreless the rest of the way and added an insurance run in the 6th.

Game 2 - Pioneers 7... Muskegon CC 3
MCC got a bit of revenge on Saturday in Cocoa Beach, FL. The Pioneers dropped a 13-3 decision to Muskegon on Tuesday and flipped the script on Saturday to salvage a split of Saturday's game.
Malory Webb (SS - Idaho Falls, ID) led the game off with a double and promptly stole 3rd before being driven in on a groundout by Elizabeth Cunningham (DP - Polson, MT). MCC took a 3-0 lead in the 2nd inning following 2 walks and Emily Robins (CF - Rexburg, ID) reaching base on an error that scored 2 runs.
Muskegon got a run in the top of the 3rd inning but MCC answered with 2 more in the bottom of the 3rd. With the bases loaded, Webb was hit by a pitch and Robins walked to make the score 5-1. Muskegon closed the gap again with 2 runs in the 4th but the Pioneers got some insurance in the bottom of the 6th by scoring 2 more runs. Brooke Schaffer was hit by a pitch and Sydney Goldbar (2B - Missoula, MT) cracked a 2-run home run.
Rylynn Krein (Fergus Falls, MN) picked up another win in the circle with another complete game start. She pitched 7 innings (6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 SO) with 62 of her 88 pitches being strikes.
