Game 1 - Pioneers 10... Lake Region State 0 (5 Innings)

The MCC Pioneers got the 2026 season off on the right foot with a 10-0 win over Lake Region State on Saturday in Jamestown, ND. The Pioneers scored in all 4 innings in which they hit and got a 5 strikeout shutout from Rylynn Krein (Fergus Falls, MN) to open the season. 

7 different Pioneers got extra base hits in a game that MCC did not have a single. Adrie Mortensen (C - Rexburg, ID) had a 2 RBI double in the 1st inning to get things started. 

Malory Webb (SS - Idaho Falls, ID), Brooke Schaffer (3B - Missoula, MT), Brylee Lowell (CF - Columbus, MT), Rhanda Vindiola (RF - Columbus, MT), and Harley Brown (1B - Great Falls, MT) added hits in the game.

Game 2 - Pioneers 3... NDSCS Wildcats 11 (6 Innings)

The MCC Pioneer bats were silenced for the most part against NDSCS as the Wildcats rolled to a 11-3 win. MCC got only 5 hits and 2 came off the bat of Madison Moorman (RF - Laurel, MT). 

MCC got 2 runs in the 2nd inning and another in the 3rd. NDSCS had 3 in the 1st, 2nd, and 4th. 

Kayla Jensen (Lewistown, MT) got the start and pitched 4 innings (11 H, 10 R, 4 ER, BB, SO).

Harley Brown had a 3-3 effort at the plate with 2 RBI and Malory Webb added 3 RBI as the Pioneers shut out Williston State 11-0 in game one on Sunday. Rhanda Vindiola had 2 RBI and Sydney Goldbar (2B - Missoula, MT) added 2 hits. 

Rylnn Krein pitched 4 shutout innings (3 H, 4 SO) and Kayla Jensen finished the final inning (H, SO).

Malory Webb had 3 hits including a triple and Rylynn Krein, Brooke Schaffer, and Addison Sanders (Idaho Falls, ID) added 2 hits as the Pioneers romped Dakota College at Bottineau 9-1 in final game of MonDak Preseason Softball Classic. Paityn Ralphs (Ammon, ID) had 3 RBI and Ava Lund (C - Belgrade, MT) added 2 RBI. 

Harley Brown pitched 5 innings (4 H, R, BB, 2 SO) and Kayla Jensen finished the final inning (BB).
