The MCC Pioneer rodeo team finished off the 2024 fall season with the rodeo at UM-Western in Dillon.
The Pioneers didn't finish off the fall as they had hoped as the men's team scored 60 points and the women's team failed to score.
Rope Roghair (Isabel, SD) finished in 4th place of the long round and 4th place overall for Saddle Bronc riding with a score of 73.0 in the long round. Roghair's effort accounted for all of the Pioneer points at the UM-Western Rodeo.
Gus Lee (Choteau, MT) was 10th in the long round and 10th in average for Steer Wrestling. Lee teamed up with Billi Fortier (Wildrose, ND) to finish 12th in the long round of Team Roping but neither of those efforts accounted for points.
Thru 4 rodeos in the fall with 6 events remaining in the spring, this is how the Pioneers sit in the Big Sky Region Standings.
The Pioneer men are sitting in 7th place with 275 points. Montana State University leads the way with 3,613 points. Rope Roghair sits in 6th place to this point in Saddle Bronc Riding with 160 points. Roghair and Travis Storm (Meadow, SD) are currently in 14th place in Team Roping.
MCC women are sitting in 6th place with 10 points as Montana State again leads the way with 1,306 points. Cadence Schweigart (Miles City, MT) is in 9th place in Breakaway Roping with 126 points.
