Alvin Payne (6'0 Freshman - Blaine, MN) scored 19 points (6-11 FG, 7-10 FT) and Lake Region State held off a 2nd half surge from the Pioneers for a 104-99 win on Monday afternoon in Miles City, MT.

Lake Region led 58-46 at halftime and the Pioneers charged back to tie the game 74-74 before the Royals quickly went on a 11-2 run and then held off the Pioneers the rest of the way. 

Ginuwine Tropnas (6'10 Sophomore - Montreal, Canada) had 15 points (7-9 FG, 1-1 FT) and 7 rebounds and Bronson Chambers (6'5 Sophomore - Ontario, Canada) hit for 14 points (7-14 FG, 0-6 3's) and 5 rebounds to help the Royals victory. Josh Miller (6'3 Freshman - New South Wales, Australia) came off the bench to score 14 points (5-12 FG, 4-11 3's) and Remy Davis Warrington (6'2 Freshman - Sydney, Australia) had 13 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3's, 1-2 FT). Akok Ajou (6'6 FR - Alberta, Canada) led the Royals with 9 rebounds. 

Yohandry Ortiz (6'5 Freshman - Naples, Florida) scored 28 points (11-23 FG, 3-7 3's, 3-5 FT) and Koak Kok (6'7 Sophomore - Ulan, South Sudan) added 25 points (9-15 FG, 7-7 FT) and a team high 9 rebounds. Azenio Cossa (6'2 Freshman - Maputo, Mozambique) added 15 points (6-16 FG, 0-3 3's, 3-4 FT) with 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Colton Hawkins (6'5 Sophomore - Pueblo, CO) had 11 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3's, 1-1 FT) off the bench for MCC. Mack Page (6'5 Sophomore - Worland, WY) had 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
