Miles Community College Men's Basketball Coach Chase Tait has announced the signing of forward Paul Gakmar for the 2021-22 season. 

Gakmar is a 6'8 forward from Perth, Australia where he attended Mercy College and led his team in rebounding and blocked shots. Gakmar averaged 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game shooting 52% from the field. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt and is the cousin of former Pioneer standout Issac Abergut.

Gakmar on why he chose MCC: "I chose Miles because I felt it was a great opportunity for me to continue my athletic and academic career. I am looking forward to bringing what I have to the program."
