Game 1 - Pioneers 16... NDSCS Wildcats 3 (5 Innings)
The Pioneers piled on 11 runs in the 1st inning as the bats came alive after being in a bit of a slump as MCC cruised to a 16-3 win in 5 innings on Sunday in Fargo, ND.
MCC had 8 hits (2 HR, 2B, 5 1B), 2 walks, and 2 hit batsmen in the 1st inning as the game was never in doubt. Chance Descalchuk (DH - Regina, Saskatchewan) hit a 3-run home run to kick off the onslaught and Chase Carnahan (2B - Fallon, NV) followed up with a grand slam home run and the route was on in Fargo. Karter Scott (1B - Regina, Saskatchewan) and Anthony Williams (DH - Billings, MT) had RBI singles in the inning and then everything came back around as Scott added another 2 RBI single.
MCC got a run in the 2nd inning when Raymond Shawver (RF - Miles City, MT) stole home and then the Pioneers picked up another run in the 3rd inning on a RBI double from Luke Thorne (SS - Missoula, MT). The Pioneer runs in the 4th inning came on a steal of home from Carnahan and a 2 RBI double off the bat of Scott.
Scott finished the game with 3 hits and 5 RBI while Williams and Thorne each had 2 hits. Carnahan had 4 RBI and Descalchuk had 3.
AJ Truman (Eureka, MT) pitched a complete game 5 innings (5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 7 SO).

Anthony Williams (C - Billings, MT) hit a walk off grand slam home run in the 6th inning to cap off a 30 run afternoon for the Pioneers in a dominating doubleheader sweep of the NDSCS Wildcats.
Dane Gilbert (DH - Monument, CO) and Karter Scott (1B - Regina, Saskatchewan) also went deep in the blowout win.
MCC scored 1 run in the 1st inning, 2 in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, and 4 in the 4th before Williams grand slam in the 6th.
Chance Descalchuk and Scott each had 3 RBI to assist Williams 4 RBI. Gilbert and Ethan Forrest each had 2 RBI.
Tanner Hager (Casper, WY) pitched 6 complete innings (6 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 5 SO) to pick up the win.

Game 2 will be 30 minutes following. If the teams are tied after Saturday, game 3 will take place on Sunday. All games will be 9-inning games.
