Game 1 - Pioneers 7... Williston State 13
Williston State sprinted out to a 13-1 lead and then held on as the Pioneers tried to rally in the final innings for a 13-7 win to take game 1 on Sunday afternoon in Miles City.
The Tetons broke the game open with 5 runs in the top of the 2nd inning as 2 Tetons went deep in the inning. MCC did pick up a run in the bottom of the 2nd on a RBI single from Luke Thorne (SS - Missoula, MT).
Williston extended that lead with 6 runs in the 4th inning including Ashton Sweet's 2nd home run of the game to build a 11-1 lead. WSC added 2 more runs in the 7th inning and looked like they would run rule the Pioneers but MCC got 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to keep the game alive. MCC scored a run on a hit batsman with the bases loaded and then a 2 RBI double from Ethan Forrest (LF - Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
In the 6th inning, the Pioneers again loaded the bases on walks and got a 2 RBI double from Ethan Wilson (Rapid City, SD) and a sacrifice fly from Forrest to cut the lead to 13-7. The game ended with 2 runners on base and the MCC rally was finished.
Lee Neugebauer (Rapid City, SD) got the start and pitched 3.1 innings (8 H, 8 R, 4 BB, 4 SO) and gave way to Croydon Christensen (Kaysville, UT) for the next 0.2 innings (2 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 2 BB). Kellen Henry (Mohall, ND) pitched the final 3 innings (H, 2 R, 3 BB, 2 SO).

Teton 2B Bradley Cepeda hit a solo home run with one out in the top of the 7th inning to break a 2-2 and propel Willison State to a 3-2 win and sweep of Sunday games in Miles City.
In what turned out to be a pitchers dual, WSC scored 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning and MCC tied the game 2-2 in the bottom of the 3rd. Luke Thorne singled and Cooper Wilson (RF - Sydney, Australia) doubled to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Thorne scored on a ground out and MCC tied the game on a RBI single from Chance Descalchuk (DH - Regina, Saskatchewan).
Dominic Johnatakis (Syracuse, UT) got the start for MCC and pitched 6.2 innings 5 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 6 SO) and Eli Kelley (Rapid City, SD) pitched the final out.
