- Game 1 - Pioneers 13... NDSCS 0
- 3 pitchers teamed up as Pioneers defeated NDSCS 13-0 in game one on Saturday afternoon.
- The Pioneers got things started in the first inning when Jake Lacey homered on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
- MCC put up four runs in the fifth inning. Clay Prell (Miles City, MT), Mason Flanary (Rexburg, ID), and Ian Krump (Rapid City, SD) all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
- Bridger Erickson (St. Anthony, ID) was credited with the victory for Pioneers. The pitcher allowed one hit and no runs over 3.2 innings, striking out 5 and walking one.
- Wyatt Searcey (Littleton, CO) and Josh Banderob (Great Falls, MT) entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
- The Pioneers tallied 13 hits in the game as Krump, Tim Holyk (Nanaimo, BC), Jaeden Jordahl (Billings, MT), and Lacey each managed multiple hits for Pioneers. Holyk and Krump all had three hits to lead Pioneers. Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field.
Game 2 - Pioneers 16... NDSCS 6
The MCC Pioneers bested NDSCS in a high-scoring affair in game 2 of Saturday afternoon in Miles City by the score of 16-6.
- The Pioneers opened up scoring in the first inning when Tim Holyk (Nanaimo, BC) hit a solo home run to continue his power barrage.
- MCC put up five runs in the seventh inning as Lane Neill,(Belgrade, MT), Karter Yancey (St. Anthony, ID), and Matt Burton (Helena, MT) all moved runners across the plate with RBI's in the inning.
- Cameron Murphy (Torrington, WY) got the win for the Pioneers as Murphy lasted 4 innings and allowed 2 hits, one run, and struck out one. Noah Aliff (Centralia, WA) and Bo Hays (Bozeman, MT) entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
- Tim Holyk hit another home run in the 1st inning to kick start the MCC offense as the Pioneers racked up 15 hits on the day. Neill, Yancey, Holyk, and Clay Prell each managed multiple hits for Pioneers. Holyk, Yancey, and Neill each had 3 hits to lead Pioneers.
The MCC Pioneers are now 2-4 in MonDak Conference play and moved to 18-14 overall. The two teams will play another double dip tomorrow afternoon starting at 12:00 PM.
