MCC's Christensen Named 1st Team All-American

(Miles City, MT) – The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has just recently announced their All-American teams for the 2010 baseball season. Miles Community College’s Jared Christensen (Alpine, Utah) was named to the first team. The sophomore left-handed pitcher finished the year 11-0. Christensen is the first Pioneer to go 11-0 in the season in school history.

In 74 2/3 innings, Christensen struck out 79 batters while only walking 19 on the season. Only 17 runs scored, with eight of them being earned for a 0.96 earned run average.

MCC finished the year 35-13 and a earned a berth into the North Plains District Tournament.
