Pioneer Baseball Receives Commitments from a Pair of GF Chargers
(Miles City, MT) – Miles Community College head baseball coach Rob Bishop has received commitments from a pair of Great Falls Chargers products. Right-handed pitcher AJ Griffith and first baseman Tucker Cook have both decided to begin their college career at MCC.
Griffith is currently 3-1 on the season with a 3.72 earned run average. In 26.1 innings of work over six appearances, he’s struck out 34 batters. Cook on the other hand is among the team leaders in batting average, hitting .416 on the season with 10 doubles in 89 at bats. Tucker has 31 runs-batted-in and has scored 23 runs in the first 26 games of the season.
The Great Falls Chargers are currently 19-7 on the season and 2-0 in league play.
These two will join fellow freshman Skyler Smith and sophomores Casey Johnson and Ethan Hortick as products from the Great Falls legion baseball programs to play for the Pioneers this coming season.
Miles Community College just recently finished their season with a 35-13 overall record, an appearance in the North Plains District Tournament, and their 10th consecutive Mon/Dak Conference championship.
