(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College baseball team has announced that Anthony Bleggi will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.
Bleggi is a 5’10” outfielder and right-handed pitcher from Driggs, ID. He attended and played his high school baseball at Teton High School in Driggs, ID.
Anthony was a member of the District 6 championship team in 2017 & 2018 and the Idaho 3A State Consolation Championship team in 2017. His high school batting average was .340 and he had a 3.23 ERA over 20 games played.
Anthony is the son of Shauna and Brannon Bleggi of Driggs, ID. Anthony’s older brother Kolton graduated from MCC in 2018 after playing for the Pioneers and making a huge impact on the program.
While at MCC, Bleggi plans to work on his General Studies degree.
Bleggi on attending MCC: “One of the reasons that I chose MCC is the atmosphere of a small school and rural town feel. Also, my older brother played at MCC which allowed me to get acquainted with the program, school and Coach Brabant, proving to me that it will be a great place to continue playing baseball and start out my college education.”
Coach Brabant on Bleggi: “We are tremendously excited to have Anthony in our program. We always talk about getting players from the same program and same family/siblings, which says a lot about how we treat and respect our players and their families…the Bleggi family is the definition of class. Anthony will excel for us just like Kolton did. He is a tremendous athlete and will grow and prosper in our program. I am looking forward to watching him improve along the way. With his work ethic, determination and love for the game, he will undoubtedly be a big factor for us.”
