He hit around .440 for the year and is in the top 20 in the nation. I'm hoping he gets some honors beyond All Region. Playing a tough skill position also says a lot about his ability. Will is going to be a huge leader for us next year."
Bloxham is a freshman outfielder from South Jordan, UT. Nate played in 51 games and hit .372 with five home runs, 59 RBIs, scored37 runs, and stole 15 bases. Nate Bloxham - Coach Brabant on Bloxham, "Nate had a remarkable year for us as a Freshman. He also played a position that he had never had much time at and adjusted and made huge strides. At the plate he was in the tops in all offensive categories. Nate was a positive leader on and off the field and I couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments."
Parker McRae is a sophomore right-handed pitcher from Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Parker had a 5-3 record that also included one save. McRae pitched 53.1 innings this season with a 4.05 ERA and 27 strikeouts. Coach Brabant on McRae, "Parker is that guy that everyone wants on his team. I never had to tell Parker what to do, never had to tell him how he needed to adjust or go about his business because he was a professional. Parker pitched big games for us and is very deserving."
Jonathan Ringer is a sophomore left-handed pitcher/1st baseman from Darby, MT. Ringer played in 22 games and hit .310 with eight RBIs, eight runs, and three stolen bases. Jonathan had nine appearances on the mound and ended with a 5-3 record. Ringer pitched 34.1 innings and had a 5.77 ERA including 41 strikeouts. Coach Brabant on Ringer, "Jon had a tremendous year for us. He is an exceptional student, leader and worker. He is very deserving of this recognition and I'm proud of him."
"While these guys got recognition for their year and stats, we had a lot of other guys that were very close," commented Coach Brabant. "While awards are important, I've never been a fan of singling players out, but we all get it. As a team we won more games than any team in this program at the Division I level. We won our first ever series on the road, broke our home wins record, won 2 series at home, and went to regionals for the second time in our 4 year stint in Division I. Our TEAM was exceptional this year."
The Pioneers ended their successful season in the Region IX Playoffs with a 32-22 record.
