PIONEERS DROP FIRST GAME OF POSTSEASON

The Pioneers fell behind early and couldn’t keep up with the offense of the Trojans. The Pioneers gave up ten runs in the first two innings, leading to a 5-15 loss to the Trojans.

Parker McRae took the loss on the mound for MCC. He pitched two innings, allowed nine hits, ten runs and walked zero.

The Pioneers had seven hits in the game. Nate Bloxham, Will Riley, and Kolton Bleggi each had two hits to lead MCC.

Coach Jeff Brabant commented, “We had six errors in the game, that pretty much sums up our day.”

The Pioneers have another chance tomorrow. They will be back on the field in Trinidad, CO against the Lopes of Lamar Community College on Friday at 4:00 pm.
