(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College men’s basketball team has announced that Rylan Gauthier will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

Gauthier is a 5’11” guard from Park City, MT. He attends and played his high school basketball at Park City High School in Park City, MT.

Rylan has been on the honor roll throughout his high school career and was named senior class Valedictorian. He was also a four-year letter winner and was Academic All-State for football, basketball, and track each year of high school.

On the court, Gauthier averaged 17 points per game and 4 steals per game his senior year. Rylan was All-Conference 2nd team his sophomore year and All-Conference 1st team his junior and senior years. He was co-captain his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Rylan was named to the Class C State All-Tournament 2nd team.

Rylan is the son of Michelle Gauthier of Clancy, MT and Brandon Gauthier of Park City, MT.

While at MCC, Gauthier plans to work towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Rylan on choosing MCC: “I felt that this would be a great opportunity to continue my basketball career. The program has a respected coach along with a great community. The school will help me get a good start with my job career as well.”
