(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College baseball team has announced that Jack Stead will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

Stead is a 5’8” pitcher from Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. He attended and played his high school baseball at Seaton High School in Seaton, South Australia.

On the field, Stead was named “Shark of the Year” (Team MVP/ Academic award) and was a 2-time Australian Baseball High School Championship Gold Medalist in 2015. Stead’s high school ERA was 3.06. Jack is the son of Darren & Leanne Stead of Adelaide, South Australia.

While at MCC, Stead plans to work towards his A.S. in a Science related field.

Stead on attending MCC: “Miles Community College was a highly recommended school from fellow Australians for both its academic and baseball programs. I am excited to join the program at MCC and to play under Coach Brabant.”

Coach Brabant on Stead: “Jack fills a lot of our needs with his versatility. He is a very good athlete and continues the great relationship we have with many programs in Australia. Jack can play any position in the infield and can be a starter for us on the mound. Any time we can get that ‘2 for 1’ player it is a no-brainer for us. We expect Jack to be a pivotal role player for us during the next two years.”
