Talon on his signing:
“I chose Miles Community college because I knew it would be a great small town feeling. I also chose MCC because coach Tait was very honest and willing to help me get the chance to golf and that golf is my favorite thing to do. When I got the scholarship offer there was no way I could resist the chance to have coach Tait as a mentor and the chance to golf for Miles Community College.”
Chalee is the daughter of James and Lindy Mullin and will graduate from Elko High School this coming June.
The EHS graduate finished her high school golf career with four varsity letters in golf while playing for head coach Marc Suyematsu and also earned three letters in hockey. With two appearances on the Northern All League team, Chalee was a leader on the golf course for Elko High School and was a part of two regional championships, and a team state championship in 2016. Chalee finished sixth in the state tournament her senior season.
Mullin finished her Senior year with a scoring average of 92.5 in eight tournaments and shot her best score at the Truckee Tournament firing an 84.
Chalee is planning on entering the nursing program while attending Miles Community College while not on the golf course.
Chalee on her signing:
“I chose MCC because I believe that this school will further expand my educational needs and my future career. MCC has a golf program that I will be participating on to help my family financial wise and I will get to play the sport that I love. I chose MCC to help prepare myself for my future."
