Men ride to 4th place, Women wrangle to 5th at MSU-Northern Rodeo

MCC Stampede on tap for this weekend

(Havre, MT) In their second rodeo of the 2014-2015 campaign, the Men's and Women's Rodeo teams of Miles CC placed 4th and 5th, respectively.

The men captured their 4th place finish with a score of 200.00 points, while the women amassed 70.00 points on their way to 5th.

In the Saddle Bronc Riding, Colton Green finished in 7th place with 48.0 points. Green currently sits all alone in 7th place of the Big Sky Region with 98.5 combined points. Teammate Logan Nielsen is in 10th place with 69.0 points in the Region. 

Casey Reder placed 4th in Bull Riding with a score of 62.0. Reder currently is in 7th place of the Region with 60.0 points

The Team Roping duo of Bridget Howell and Logan Nielsen finished in 4th place with a score of 27.5. The pair head into the upcoming weekend in 10th of the Region with 70.0 points.

Invividually, Lathe Arnston has scored 82.0 combined points in the Bareback Riding and is in 7th place of the Region, while Laurel White is in 12th place with 50.3 points in the Goat Tying.   

After the first two weeks of competition, the Cowboys stand in 7th place of the Big Sky Region with 379.50 combined points. Montana State University leads the Region with 1,732 points, 8 points ahead of 2nd place University of Montana-Western.

On the Cowgirls side, the Women are in 7th place with 120.33 points. Montana State University has a convincing lead over everyone with 1,516.16 points. The 2nd place team, University of Great Falls has compiled 548.99 points.

Wally Badgett and crew will host their annual MCC Stampede this weekend as the host of the Big Sky Rodeo of the week.

Action will take place starting with a Performance, Friday September 19th @ 7:00 PM. On Saturday, the Cowboys and Cowgirls will get started @ 8:00 AM with a Timed Event Slack. The wild weekend will continue later that evening with a performance at 7:00 pm. Action will conclude Sunday @ 10:00 AM with the short round.
