Lady Pioneers finish 1-1 at CVB Tournament

(Williston, ND)- The Lady Pioneers continued their early season success as they raced past United Tribes Technical College, 88-51 on Friday November 8th at the CVB Teton Tournament. Unfortunately, host Williston State College handed the MCC women their first loss of the season on Saturday, 79-32.

Against United Tribes, Miles CC jumped out to a 49-25 halftime lead behind 27 points from Jaycin Tini (North Shore, New Zealand). Ashley Malmquist (Three Forks, MT) chipped in 15 points and Shelby Weeks (Culbertson, MT) and Petra Lumpert (Jesenice, Slovenia) added 12 and 13 points respectively.

In game 4 of the 2013-2014 season, the Pioneers ran into the buzz saw the Lady Tetons of WSC falling, 79-32. Tess Blaquiere (Miles City, MT) paced the squad with 14 points and Tini added 9 points.

Miles CC looks to get back on track when they head to the Warren Arman Memorial Classic in Bismarck, ND November 15-16. A rematch with United Tribes Technical College is slated for 2:00 pm cst on Friday November 15th and then close out the weekend against tournament host Bismarck State College on Saturday November 16th at 6:00 pm cst.
