Lady Pioneers fall in final seconds to Sheridan College

(Miles City, MT)- Unfortunately history repeated itself on Wednesday night as the Sheridan College Lady Generals came into Miles City and grabbed a last second win from the Lady Pioneers, 56-54.

With the score tied, 54-54, Milomilo Nanai drove the lane and put Sheridan on top with 2.5 seconds remaining. MCC had an opportunity to inbound the ball twice and get one shot off with time remaining. They were unsuccessful in their attempt and the Pioneers fell for the second straight game at home in the mere seconds.

Ivana Grbic (Belgrade, Serbia) led all scorers with 16 points on 7-12 shooting, while adding 6 assists. Tess Blaquiere (Miles City, MT) had a monster night recording a double-double. She pulled down 15 rebounds and 12 points.  

Next on the schedule is a showdown with Western Wyoming Community College on Friday February 22nd.

Friday’s game will mark the last home game for the 2013 graduating sophomore class. Game time is set for 5:30 pm. The following players will be honored on Friday night.
