(Williston, ND)- The Lady Pioneers (14-9 overall, 4-5 Region IX) fell 64-53 in Williston on Saturday, losing for the third time in as many tries to the Lady Tetons of Williston State College. The Tetons jumped out to an early 10-2 lead and never let up, leading by as many as 22. WSC had 4 players in double figures, who saw their record improve to (19-3 overall, 4-1 Region XIII). Tess Blaquiere (Miles City, MT) came off the bench to lead all scorers with 22 points, while adding 4 rebounds. Dragana Vukovic (Belgrade, Serbia) and Tessa Rouane (Columbus, MT) added 8 and 7 points, respectively.

The Pioneers hit the road on Wednesday February 6th, to take on the Gillette College Pronghorns (20-4 overall, 7-3 Region IX). “The key to Wednesday night in Gillette will be to keep them off of the offensive glass” MCC Head Women’s Coach Cathy Hanek said. “We did a good job against their inside game last time, but we need to do a better job finding their shooters on the outside and closing out with high hands”.
