Hart threw 34.2 innings in relief for Chargers
(Miles City, MT) – Miles Community College head baseball coach has announced the signing of pitcher Spenser Hart (Great Falls) to a national letter-of-intent to join the Pioneers this coming season. This past season with the Great Falls Chargers he finished with a 3-2 record overall and appeared in 11 contests, starting three games, and finished with a 4.24 earned run average. Coach Brabant said, “Spenser is a workhouse that fits Pioneer Baseball to a ‘T’ and we expect him to compete for a starting rotation spot.”
This year the Chargers finished with an overall record of 35-21 and 14-6 in conference. In 2010 he helped the Chargers to an appearance in the AA State Championship game finishing second. Not only did he excel on the diamond, but also in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, Americore Scholarship Recipient, and a member of the High School House. Brabant also added, “he’s a bright student and will fit perfectly into our program.”
Hart is one of the five Chargers that will be playing at MCC this season joining sophomores Skyler Smith and AJ Griffith and fellow incoming freshmen Spenser Hortick and Trevor Johnson.
“I get to continue my education and play baseball in the state that I love,” said Hart on choosing MCC.
