Miles CC Women's Basketball Adds Shepherd Product

Lepley helped lead Mustangs to 3rd place finish in Class B

(Miles City, MT) – Miles Community College head women’s basketball coach Lindsay Woolley has announced the signing of Taylor Lepley (Shepherd) to a letter of intent for the 2011-12 season.  This past season, Shepherd Mustangs finished third in the Montana Class B State Tournament.  Woolley stated, “he is excited about Taylor joining the Lady Pioneers’ program next season as she comes from a very successful program and is a proven winner.”

She has been a three-sport athlete her whole high career, in addition to basketball, Lepley has been a standout in both volleyball and track.  She has lettered in all of them every year since her sophomore season for the Mustangs.  In basketball, she’s been a co-captain and also earned all conference honors both her junior and senior year.  She has led Shepherd to three consecutive district championships, including a state tournament appearance this season.

Woolley also added, “her ability to play both guard positions will allow her to flourish in our system.”

Last season, MCC finished 25-7 overall and swept the Mon/Dak Conference with a 14-0 record.  The Lady Pioneers lost in the quarterfinals of the Region IX Women’s Basketball Tournament to Western Nebraska Community College in overtime.  Lepley is the third recruit that Coach Woolley has signed this spring to join the five returning freshmen.
