MCC's Women's Basketball Adds Montana Product

Reynan averaged 14.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest

(Miles City, MT) – Miles Community College head women’s basketball coach Lindsay Woolley has announced the that Janae Reynan (Culbertson) has committed to join the Lady Pioneer basketball team for the 2011-12 season.  The all-state 5’ 10” wing helped lead the Cowgirls of Culbertson High School to an overall record of 18-7 this past season.  Coach Woolley said, “Janae is going to give us some size on the perimeter and bring some versatility on both ends of the floor because of her athleticism.”

As a senior, she led CHS to a second place finish in the district tournament and finished fourth in this year’s divisional tournament.  She averaged 14.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.1 steals, and 4.5 assists per contest for Culbertson High.  Not only was she a standout on the basketball court, but also was an all-state selection in volleyball this past fall and earned all-state honors as junior in track.  The all-around athlete not only exceeded in sports, but also in the classroom earning all-academic honors.

“We are excited to watch her develop and grow as a basketball player here at Miles,” added MCC’s head coach. 

Miles Community College finished the 2010-11 season with a 25-7 overall record and lost in the quarterfinals of the Region IX tournament.  The Lady Pioneers swept the Mon/Dak Conference with a 14-0 record in their last season affiliated with the conference.
