Craig Parry, a former MCC Pioneer baseball player and coach and now an assistant coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks, has just made it to the College World Series with the Razorbacks.

Parry, a Colstrip, Montana native, began his collegiate playing career at Miles Community College, where he played third base and was a two-time All-Conference selection and All-Region honoree as a sophomore.

After his playing time was up at MCC, Parry spent two years as an assistant coach with the baseball program under head coach Jeff Brabant. During Parry’s time at MCC, he coached the hitters, outfielders, and catchers, helping the Pioneers achieve a combined record of 65-36-2.

After his coaching stint at MCC, Parry continued his playing career at South Dakota State University where he played the 2007 and 2008 seasons. After his senior year, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 50th round and spent two seasons as a catcher and an outfielder in the minor leagues.

Good luck to Coach Parry and his Razorback in the College World Series.
