Game 1

There was a lot of offense for the Pioneers in the first game of the doubleheader. MCC took the lead in the first inning and kept adding on, eventually getting the victory 15-5.

Kolton Bleggi got the win on the mound. He went six innings, allowed nine hits, five runs, and struck out three. Logan Decock pitched one inning out of the bullpen in relief.

The Pioneers had 13 hits on the day. James Martin, Mason Baker, and Carson Hoke all had multiple hits for the Pioneers. Baker and Martin led MCC with three hits apiece. The Pioneers didn’t commit any errors in the field. Will Riley had the most chances in the field with five.

Game 2

The second game of the day was a lot closer than the first. The game was scoreless until the fifth inning, when the Pioneers got on the board with two runs. The Rattlers would catch up and tie the game at two in the bottom of the seventh. MCC ended it after nine innings, scoring two runs and winning 4-2.

Braxton Boyle got the victory on the mound for the Pioneers. Boyle pitched nine innings, allowed seven hits, two runs, and struck out seven.

The Pioneers had nine hits in the game. Will Riley and Kolton Bleggi led the Pioneers with two hits each.

Coach Jeff Brabant was pleased with his team’s performance, “After yesterday's second game, to do what we did today and the two ways we won shows this team's resiliency is just tremendous. We had a lot of warriors out there today. Proud of our efforts. Big games tomorrow!”

Tomorrow’s doubleheader against Otero JC will begin at 11:00 am
