Head coach Chase Tait announced that Perion Little is planning to continue his career as a student athlete next season at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL.

Little is originally from Kenosha, WI. Perion made a huge impact for the Pioneers during his two seasons with the team. In the 2017-2018 season, Little averaged 17.7 points per game. Perion shot 43.8% from the field and 39.6% from beyond the 3-point arc. He also averaged 4.8 rebounds per game and 4.2 assits. During Little’s two-year career at MCC he scored 904 points, had 199 assists and 233 rebounds.

Little has worked hard to prepare himself to play at the next level and believes that his time as MCC will help him succeed. “I Watching film on my freshman season and training all summer going into my sophomore year in order to better prepare myself for the level of competition within our Region 9 Conference. On the academic side, the staff did a great job of being available and getting me ready for the next level of education, which plays a part of eligibility for play.”

I know Perion's best basketball is out in front of him. He is a complete player that has a very high basketball IQ and will bring a lot of versatility to the Leatherneck program. Perion is looking forward to being challenged at Western Illinois and being able to improve his game as much as possible while he is there.
