Game 2

The final game of the series was a good one for the Pioneers. MCC got the win, 3-1, finishing the sweep of the series against the Indians.

Luke Turner got the victory on the mound for the Pioneers. He pitched seven innings, allowed three hits, one run, and struck out six.

Will Riley led the Pioneers in hitting, going 2-for-2 at the plate, including a home run.

Coach Jeff Brabant is happy with how his team played over the weekend, “I think for anyone to sweep in this conference is tremendously difficult. We did enough today to accomplish that, but I still feel our best baseball is ahead of us. We had a couple home runs today that turned out being the difference. Our post season destiny is in our own hands.”

The Pioneers will be on the field again Friday, April 27 in La Junta, CO to take on Otero JC.
