PIONEERS COMPETE AT MSU RODEOS

(Bozeman, MT) The Miles Community College rodeo teams opened the spring season by competing at a pair of Montana State University rodeos this weekend in Bozeman, MT. The men’s and women’s teams both finished sixth at each rodeo.

Koley Schmidt placed fourth in the saddle bronc in the first rodeo. Trystin Hooper & Wyatt Foulger took fourth in the team roping at rodeo #2.

On the women’s side, Baili Nielson had two great performances in the breakaway roping, but unfortunately she broke the barrier both times, so did not place.

"We struggled at the Bozeman rodeo last year as well, but the next week, we did very well at our home rode,” said Coach Wally Badgett "I’m hoping this year will be the same. We are looking forward to competing in our home arena next weekend."

The Pioneers next host the MCC Rodeo at the Ag Advancement Center on April 20-22. Performance times are Friday at 7:00 pm, and Saturday at 9:00 am slack and 1:00 pm short go.
