(Miles City, MT) The Miles Community College volleyball team has announced that Anniekate Burghduff will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

Burghduff is a 5’7” defensive specialist from Buffalo, SD. She attends and played her high school volleyball at Harding County High School in Buffalo, SD.

Anniekate is currently a member of FFA, Student Council, Ag Leadership, Yearbook and Drama. On the court, Burghduff had the most kills, most digs, and most aces on the team her senior year. She was also named to the Phillip Tournament All-Tournament team, the Little Moreau All-Conference team, and was a Little Moreau 1st team All-Conference player her senior year. Anniekate was also an accomplished basketball player in high school.

Burghduff is the daughter of Lex Burghduff of Camp Crook, SD and Heidi Sallquist & Wes Linn of Oregon.

While at MCC, Burghduff plans to work towards her degree in Elementary Education.

Burghduff on attending MCC: “The players and staff that I met were all very nice and welcoming and I also liked the college itself.”

Coach Soennichsen on Burghduff: “Anniekate is an all-around player. She has a great serve, she is solid defensively, and has a great swing on the outside. She will be a utility player for MCC, playing in several positions at any given time.”
