PIONEERS STAY UNDEFEATED AGAINST FRASER VALLEY

Game 2

The Pioneers stay perfect on the season as they defeat Fraser Valley 6-3. The Pioneers had a good inning in the fourth, adding three runs driven in by Bryce Krattiger, Carson Hoke, and Will Riley. MCC also added runs in the second, third, and sixth innings. Will Riley led the team in hits, going 4-for-4 at the plate.

Kolton Bleggi was the winning pitcher for the Pioneers. He gave up four hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings and struck out five batters. Chase Linn, Parker McRae, and Beau Thomas all spent time on the mound in relief.

“We’ve got some time under our belt and that is what the preseason is about. We will take these next 6 games and treat them like a conference series to prepare ourselves for Trinidad next week. We’ve got work to do and adjustments to make, but we’re playing very well for this time of year,” Coach Jeff Brabant commented after the game.

The Pioneers will be in action again on Wednesday, March 7 against Mount Marty out of Yankton, SD. The doubleheader will start at 4:00 pm in Tucson, AZ.
