PIONEER PITCHERS PUT TOGETHER A SHUT OUT TO DEFEAT NORTHERN, 4-0

Game 2

The second game of the doubleheader against Northern State was a good one for the MCC Pitchers. Jonathan Ringer got the win for the Pioneers. Ringer pitched five innings, allowing three hits, zero runs, and striking out nine batters. Braxton Boyle and Luke Turner also entered the game out of the bullpen in relief.

The Pioneers had nine hits in the game. MCC was led in hitting by Nate Bloxham with three hits on three at bats. Bloxham and Kolton Bleggi each contributed multiple hits.

Head Coach Jeff Brabant is happy with how his team in playing, “Today was another version of yesterday. We are getting guys time, scripting our pitching and finding different way to win. We’ll take a day off and get back on it on Monday.”

The Pioneers will be in action again Monday, March 5 against Fraser Valley in Tucson, AZ at 9:00 am & 11:00 am.
