The Pioneers were at home Saturday afternoon against the Rams of Little Big Horn College. It didn’t take MCC long to take control of the game and once they did, there was no looking back. The hot shooting of the Pioneers returned as they shot 46.7%. The Pioneer’s defense was also impressive, converting 55 points off of turnovers. The last game of the regular season was a good one for the Pioneers, as they ran away with the victory 117-32.

Patrycja Jaworska was the high scorer with 19, followed by Paula Rosello and Kylee Meredith with 15 a piece. Marina Peinado led the team in rebounding with 10.

With the regular season now over, the Pioneers will host the first round of the playoffs against Central Wyoming on Friday, March 2 in the Kailey Gymnasium at 7:00 pm. Coach Nate Vogel is optimistic about the rematch, “We feel good about a strong regular season and we are excited to start the post season on our home court. This is what we have been working all year for.”
