RUSTLERS TOO MUCH FOR PIONEERS

The Pioneers finished up a long road trip in Riverton, WY, taking on Central Wyoming College. MCC took control of the game early, taking a lead into halftime. The Pioneers struggled with turnovers in the second half, allowing the Rustlers to battle back. After several lead changes, Central eventually took the lead for good, beating the Pioneers 104-95. Coach Chase Tait commented on the loss, “I thought we played a great game against a good team on the road. We controlled the game for 36 minutes. In the second half, we had an unfortunate injury to Perion Little. The injury along with foul trouble turned the tide of the game.”

Erie Olonade was the high scorer with 22 points. Andrea LoBiondo added 21 to the effort and led the team in rebounds with 8.

The Pioneers will be back in action on Saturday, February 24 as they take on Little Big Horn College at home in the Kailey Gymnasium at 4:00 pm.
