POOR SHOOTING SINKS PIONEERS

Monday evening, the Pioneers met the Rustlers of Central Wyoming in Riverton, WY. It was a rough night for the Pioneers, as they just could never find their rhythm. MCC had early foul trouble, giving the Rustlers some easy buckets by sending the Rustlers to the line early and often. The Pioneers were in a 16 point hole at the half. MCC tried to rally in the 3rd quarter, shrinking the lead to 8 points. It wouldn’t be enough though, as the Pioneers continued to struggle and eventually ended up losing 73-81. Coach Nate Vogel was disappointed with the loss, “We were not ready to play today. We have some work to do if we want to be successful in the playoffs.”

Patrycja Jaworska was the high scorer with 16. Dakota Dosch put up a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Pioneers will be back at home on Saturday, February 24 for the last game of the regular season to take on the Rams from Little Big Horn College at 2:00 pm.
