FOUR RBI DAY FOR BRAXTON BOYLE LEADS PIONEER TO VICTORY

Game 2

Four runs batted in by Braxton Boyle helped lead the Pioneers past Western Nebraska in the second game of their double header. Boyle drove in runs on a home run in the third and a home run in the sixth.

Jonathan Ringer was the winning pitcher for the Pioneers. He pitched five innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out five. Luke Turner threw on inning in relief out of the bullpen for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers collected nine hits. Bryce Krattiger, Braxton Boyle, Jared Bellows, and Mason Baker each had multiple hits for MCC. As a result of the great hitting, the Pioneers eased past Western Nebraska 11-1. Coach Jeff Brabant was pleased with his team’s effort, “We had great starting pitching from Mitch and Jon today kept us relaxed and focused. When you can play with leads everyone can slow the game down and produce. I’m very pleased with our start, especially this being our first time outside.”
