Patrycja Jaworska scored a season high 27 points Saturday afternoon against the Rustlers of Central Wyoming. It was a very physical game from start to finish, but the Pioneers were up for it, pulling away in the second quarter and taking a 10 point lead into the half. After a dominant third quarter, the Pioneers sealed the victory and got the win 76-55. Coach Nate Vogel commented, “The flow of the game wasn't what we wanted. Our press wasn't working as well as it has in previous games. For the first time this year, we went to a zone defense for an extended period of time. The zone allowed us to change the pace of the game and get some much needed defensive stops.” Coach Vogel continued, “We're excited to be 18-4 (4-2 in conference). There are still a lot of things we can get better at, so we're excited to see how much better this team can get. As always, thanks to the fans for the support and encouragement!”

Patrycja Jaworska led the team in scoring with 27 points, followed by Dakota Dosch with 14.

The Pioneers will be in action again on Wednesday in Crow Agency, MT to take on Little Big Horn College at 5:30 pm.
